Dorinda B. Yntema has been dancing for 37 years and has been teaching for 22 years. She has trained at the Well's School of Dance in Richmond , Virginia and at several local dance schools in Atlanta . Dorinda has supplemented her training with classes in New York City , DMA and DEA conventions, and most recently, Briarwood Ballet's Dance Teacher/Dance Ministry Workshops. In 1989, she graduated cum laude with a B.S. in dance Education from Georgia State University where she was a founding dancer and student president of Movement Force: GSU Dancers. At GSU, she was twice awarded Outstanding Dance Major for high-level performance in departmental and professional activities and also presented with the Mortar Board Honor Society award for outstanding leadership and scholarship.

Dorinda has taught in many Atlanta-area studios including Dance For Joy, Perimeter School of Ballet, and En Pointe School of Dance, home of Praise in Motion. In 1996, Dorinda founded, taught, and directed Worship Through Dance, a dance ministry whose purpose was to minister first to the dancer and then to teach the dancer to minister to the audience through ballet-based interpretive dance to Christian music. WTD ministered to congregations in Georgia and Alabama and presented three full-length concerts in Atlanta and on St. Simon's Island, GA.

Dorinda has been on staff at The Studio for four years, teaching Creative Movement, Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Praise and Worship dance. She especially enjoys teaching young dance students and beginners of all ages, building a foundation in dance technique and a love for dance, especially as an expression of praise and worship.

Dorinda has been a Christian for 26 years and is a long-time member of Grace Fellowship Church in Snellville. She lives in Lilburn with her six year old son, Andrew, who is in first grade at Camp Creek Elementary School .
